Joy to the Polls
Recognizing that long lines and voter intimidation often disenfranchise marginalized communities, the Frontline Election Defenders launched "Joy to the Polls" to transform the voting experience into a celebration. This initiative deployed roving concerts—featuring local musicians, DJs, and high-profile recording artists—directly to highly trafficked polling sites across the country.
By bringing music, dancing, and joy to the ballot box, the project successfully de-escalated tensions, motivated voters to stay in line during multi-hour waits, and turned civic duty into a vibrant, creative display of community resilience.
